I am almost 68 years old. I have traveled the world for my businesses, visiting over 60 countries. I have started and sold companies. I have lost everything — and then rebuilt it all over again.

By the world's standards, I know what it takes to succeed. I know the hustle, the grind, and the aggressive growth strategies that many success gurus preach. And frankly, there is nothing inherently wrong with hard work.

But I also know the profound emptiness that comes when you build an empire and realize you are still unfulfilled. I know this because I came close to taking my own life.

The Turning Point

Born Again in Denver, 1988

A moment that saved a soul — even though it took time for life to fully align with faith.

For most of my life, I was a horrible, sinful individual. I was chasing success, drinking, taking drugs, sleeping around, and I was entirely spiritually bankrupt. The turning point came in 1988 when I was born again at a Marilyn Hickey service in Denver. That moment saved my soul, even though it took time for me to truly change my ways and align my life with my faith.

Over the decades since, I have watched Christian entrepreneurs struggle with a deep divide. They either lean entirely on secular business tactics — leaving their faith at the door on Monday morning — or they lean entirely on prayer, ignoring the practical wisdom required to build something sustainable.

We are constantly told to "think outside the box." We are told to push harder, work longer, and aim for massive returns through our own sheer willpower. But here is the truth I have learned over 67 years of life, business, and walking with the Lord:

"There is no box. The 'box' is an illusion created by human limitation."

When Jesus said in Matthew 19:26, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible," He was not speaking metaphorically. He was giving us the ultimate blueprint for breakthrough growth.

I created No Box Thinking because I am tired of seeing the Body of Christ settle for less. We are not called to just survive in the marketplace; we are called to flourish in it, to build the Kingdom, and to be a light in the darkness.
